David has taught himself to play guitar and bass since 2005 when he got his first acoustic guitar. He has been writing and recording his own songs ever since, both solo acoustic and as singer/guitarist/keyboardist for his band Vex Reverend. He has received high praise from organisers and jusges of songwriting and performing competitions, including the Australian Schools National Songwriting Competition

More recently, he has formed half of acoustic duo Epitome with fellow singer/guitarist Matt Marshall. They are planning a trip to Tamworth next January for the Country Music Festival

Outside of popular music David plays clarinet, bass clarinet and baritome sax in concert bands and stage bands including the State Schools Wind Ensemble (or SWE) who won the state band championships Open A grade, making them the best Concert band in NSW

David loves performing & will gladly take any chance given to play his music for other people's enjoyment, receiving much valuable praise as he does
