Bio
Adelaide indie kids The Shiny Brights were born in a riverside warehouse amongst an army of used whitegoods. Their soon to be released debut EP “Let’s Not and Say We Did” is a culmination of an exciting year for The Shiny Brights. In their short career they’ve already become the only unsigned act on the Make Poverty History DVD, supported some of the hottest upcoming acts like THE WOMBATS, THE GALVATRONS and DUKES OF WINDSOR and were finalists in the influential NATIONAL CAMPUS BAND COMPETITION. The Adelaide Advertiser’s music editor, Sam Kelton might be on to something by naming The Shiny Brights as one of the ‘7 local acts to watch in 2008’.

The bands less-is-more song construction, pop sensibility and musicianship is just as critical to their accessible sound. And just wait until you see the antics these 5 boys get up to when they get together on stage. Often reviewed as having a 'manic stage presence' these boys sure do deliver live. Expect the unexpected

If The Shiny Brights weren't such damn fine purveyors of original music, they could make a tidy sum dishing out Xeroxed versions of songs by Bloc Party and The Strokes. With international interest already piqued, the band's name reflects the promising sounds they've unleashed on their debut EP. Frontman Wolf's also the first guy I've seen pulling off the red pants look since I last played with my collection of Lego men. Hats off to you, squire.

I disagree with the other review. I really like these tunes!! I saw these guys play at an Indie night at The Gov and they were awesome. It's about time the negative nancy's of this world stopped writing bad things about great bands for no reason!! Damn Aussie tall poppy syndromes!!

Come on guys, what is this??? Sorry I don't like listening to band after band regurgitate the same type of music. There's nothing in this song I haven't heard from a million other bands. I hope your live show is better than your recorded stuff. You sound like a pretty tight outfit. Do something new!
