Five Questions with current competitor and 2007 finalist {with Walrus} Roland K Smith

1} List any big lessons you've learned since playing around the traps... {Maybe this can warn the peoples reading!}

Clean underwear. Always. 

 2} Strangest band related incident?

I did a private function a while ago. The gig was in front of a huge neon crucifix, bubbles were projected from the stage, and the venue had provided me with backup dancers dressed as Ewoks. Turns out it was for a christian youth centre.

 3} Which other bands/artists share your vision/ ethos?

My vision is to write, record, and play music. So I suppose anyone who does that shares my vision.

 4} Tell us about any news coming up for you?

I recently finished my self-titled debut solo EP. I recorded most of it at home. It's one of those alternative country deals. I distributed it myself to a few stores across Australia. I'll be playing some shows with a full band soon.

 5) If you had $15k what would you choose to do with it?

I'd hire a horn section and a string section, find a really cool studio with a great room and some old equipment, and cut a country/soul record. Then I'd tour my behind off.
