Emcee Able Wins MTV Kickstart Perth Heat!

Emcee Able has been crowned the winner at the Perth Finals of MTV Kickstart.

The fourth heat of MTV’s national band search competition was held at local hotspot the Bakery, and Perth acts certainly cooked up some goodness that made the judges (Rodney Aravena from End Of Fashion, Matthew Hogan from Drum Media, Chris Weeldon from RTR and, Gabi Scott from MTV’s Talent and Relations department) decision a tough one. 

Said guest judge Rodney Aravena from End of Fashion, ”It was such a tough decision for the judges to make because all of the bands were so good and so varying. We all had different opinions but united on the fact that we wanted something fresh and different and Emcee Able definitely fit that criteria.”

Emcee Able wrestled the title of Perth Kickstart representative from other formidable contenders The Bloods, Tracksuit, Harlequin League and Genghis.

Emcee Able will head on up to Sydney on September 9 to battle the rest of the finalists from each city during a televised 'Kickstart Final' to be held at iconic MTV venue, 'The Lair'. 

The finalists will be posted on the MTV Kickstart website where you can get in on the action by voting for your favourite artist at www.mtv.com.au/kickstart.

Voting will commence on September 15 and will be open until October 10. 

The MTV Kickstart winner will be announced live online at www.mtv.com.au/kickstart on October 15 @ 8:00pm so keep it locked ya'll!
